A Look Behind The Many Titles
I realized at a young age that I wanted to be a writer. I had a knack for staying up past my bedtime to hide under my covers with a flashlight, a pen, and paper so I could create stories filled with unicorns, dragons, and fairies without my parents knowing. My mom was, and still is, the biggest supporter of my writing. Many years ago, she purchased me a notebook. On the cover it read “life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all”. Since then, I have made it my mission to go on as many adventures as I possibly can. As I grew older and life happened, I realized that my adventures may never go further than my writings. My unicorns, dragons, and fairies have turned into cats, dogs, and a baby that require my undivided attention. Instead of living a mundane existence, I embark on my latest adventures in the form of books, blogs, and short stories. The internet has thankfully given me these opportunities to share my adventures with the world.
I recently entered the world of instructional technology, where I achieved an eLearning Specialist certificate, and I'm working towards a master's degree with a graduation date of December 2020. Instructional technology, to me, feels like a comfortable place to put all of my different skills and talents to use.
I have been freelancing with my skills and am always looking to take on new projects. I have been many titles before: “Content Manager”, “Copy Editor”, “Editor-in-Chief”, “Secretary”, “Supervisor”, "Writing Fellow", and "Writing Tutor" to name a few. I recently accepted an opportunity to work as an independent contractor in an instructional design and development position. I hope to learn more, and grow more as I navigate through this latest adventure.
On a more relaxing note, I am a yoga instructor who is continually growing with my practice. In January of 2020, I received my CYT-200 Yoga Instructor Certification. In May of 2020, I registered with the Yoga Alliance to become RYT-200. I am currently enrolled in a 300 hour course so I can become RYT-500 with an expected graduation date of December 2020. Along with this, I am actively continuing my education in restorative yoga, and Ayurveda.
My passion resides in creating beautiful things, whether that be writings, websites, projects, or yoga classes. I hope you can appreciate my work as much as I enjoy sharing it with you.
